Startpage

Startpage is a private search engine and privacy technology service founded in the Netherlands in 2006. It provides web, image, video and news search while anonymising queries before obtaining results from search and content providers such as Google and Bing. Startpage states that it does not record users’ IP addresses or search queries and does not use tracking cookies for search activity. Its search service also includes Anonymous View, which allows users to open supported search results through a privacy-protecting proxy, along with private instant answers and search settings. Startpage also offers a private mobile browser and browser extension. The service is intended for users who want mainstream web search functionality while limiting the collection and profiling of their personal search data.
