theses.fr

Theses.fr serves as the official national portal for French doctoral research, developed to enhance the visibility of academic production and support the scientific community. The platform indexes comprehensive data on all doctoral theses defended in France, ongoing research topics, and the academic profiles of associated researchers, thesis directors, and institutions. Its core features include a full-text search engine for open-access digital dissertations, faceted navigation, an open data API, and a secure national intranet integrated with the Renater identity federation, which allows members of the French higher education and research network to consult restricted-access documents. The website provides high practical value to PhD candidates, researchers, and academic institutions by centralizing the monitoring of contemporary research developments and simplifying bibliographic tracking across all scientific disciplines.
