WikiArt

WikiArt operates as a decentralized, multi-lingual digital reference platform that categorizes the history of world art across diverse fields, styles, media, and eras. The website allows users to browse an extensive catalog of creative output utilizing structural filters such as art movements, schools and groups, genres, nationalities, and historical centuries. Main features include a curated "Artwork of the day," a "Short of the month" section highlighting cinematic short films, an interactive calendar tracking artist births and deaths, and high-resolution imaging capability. Tailored for art historians, students, educators, and art enthusiasts, the site delivers practical value by providing accessible historical overviews, supporting community contributions, and hosting a commercial print shop for custom poster and handmade canvas reproductions.
