Kitsu

The Kitsu website functions as a comprehensive, modern database modeled as a social cataloging engine for Japanese animation and comics. Core features of the platform include specialized custom library profiles where users can systematically update their watch status, track individual episodes, log manga chapters, add private notes, and rate individual titles. The website integrates social networking layers such as customizable community activity feeds, notification sub-systems, user-generated reviews, and open group discussions for every indexed series. Tailored primarily for global anime enthusiasts, manga readers, and pop-culture researchers, Kitsu provides practical value by helping fans organize vast media backlogs, uncover niche recommendations, and interact with other hobbyists on a highly centralized database infrastructure built with an open JSON:API layout.
