AniDB

The AniDB website functions as an independent, ad-free community archive built to catalog and review all variations of CJK animation, including television series, movies, specials, and OVAs. Main features of the platform include a highly detailed multi-name indexing engine, structural episode guides, specialized release calendars, a public API, and a 1-to-10 voting system. Users can customize their personal libraries, map out complete viewing histories, write critical reviews, interact across message boards, and track behind-the-scenes data such as animation studios and creators. Built specifically for global animation collectors, researchers, and database archivists, the non-profit platform provides high practical value by using open crowd-sourced contributions to continuously expand an unfiltered, encyclopaedic ledger of animation history.
