American Craft Council National Craft Directory

The National Craft Directory website functions as a comprehensive community index designed to map out the contemporary craft ecosystem nationwide. The platform hosts a searchable database of educational and institutional resources, allowing users to filter listings by organization type—such as local arts councils, guilds, specialized schools, and dedicated craft museums—as well as distinct creative mediums including ceramics, glass, fiber and textiles, wood, and metalworking. In addition to looking up active organizational networks, the site integrates pathways to explore regional events, submit new craft programs for inclusion, and link to broader American Craft Council professional opportunities. Tailored for an audience of working makers, educators, craft appreciators, and cultural heritage tourists, the directory delivers high practical value by centralizing fragmented local entities into a single, open-access repository for creative enrichment and professional networking.
