India InCH — Traditional Craftspeople Directory

The India InCH website acts as a comprehensive, subscription-based contact directory cataloging traditional artisans working across more than 2,500 distinct craft categories. The platform offers structured lookup tools that allow users to search the database by craft name, geographic location, gender, craft category, award recognition, or custom keywords. In addition to raw contact profiles, the portal aggregates broader contextual assets including research readings, text bibliographies, specialized glossaries, innovation case studies, and a directory of physical craft museums or organizations. Designed for independent designers, academic researchers, and commercial buyers who wish to deal directly with rural producers without middlemen, the directory delivers practical utility by providing direct channels to source traditional textiles and handicrafts straight from their historical transmitters.
