WallText – Art Museum Collection Search

WallText is an online art discovery platform designed to help visitors locate artworks currently exhibited at major museums. The website searches collections from nine institutions, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, Getty Museum, Art Institute of Chicago and Victoria and Albert Museum. Users can search by artwork title or artist and filter results by museum to identify works available for in-person viewing. WallText uses museum APIs and open datasets to retrieve artwork information, including titles, artists, dates, locations and images where permitted. The platform focuses on artworks currently on display rather than entire museum collections. It serves art enthusiasts, researchers, students, tourists and museum visitors seeking practical information for planning gallery visits and discovering exhibited artworks.
